Since 1987, Sunday nights at the Green Mill Lounge were my MFA program. Every week a master class in how the power of a strong poet performing a brilliant poem could move a room and shift a heart like nothing else.

Chicago is a city overflowing with phenomenal writers, and it’s an honor to be asked to read, write, or perform a poem anywhere for any reason. Here are a few of mine in response to some beautiful celebrations, occasions, and invitations.
